And when he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed them that should sing unto Jehovah, and give praise in holy array, as they went out before the army, and say, Give thanks unto Jehovah; for his lovingkindness endureth for ever.

And after discussion with the people, he put in their places those who were to make melody to the Lord, praising him in holy robes, while they went at the head of the army, and saying, May the Lord be praised, for his mercy is unchanging for ever.

Και συμβουλευθεις μετα του λαου, διεταξε ψαλτωδους δια να ψαλλωσιν εις τον Κυριον και να υμνωσι την μεγαλοπρεπειαν της αγιοτητος αυτου, εξελθοντες εμπροσθεν του στρατευματος, και να λεγωσι, Δοξολογειτε τον Κυριον, διοτι το ελεος αυτου μενει εις τον αιωνα.
