Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to-morrow: for thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, There is a devoted thing in the midst of thee, O Israel; thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the devoted thing from among you.

Up! make the people holy; say to them, Make yourselves holy before tomorrow, for the Lord, the God of Israel, has said, There is a cursed thing among you, O Israel, and you will give way before your attackers in the fight till the cursed thing has been taken away from among you.

σηκωθεις αγιασον τον λαον και ειπε, Αγιασθητε δια την αυριον· διοτι ουτω λεγει Κυριος ο Θεος του Ισραηλ· Αναθεμα ειναι εν τω μεσω σου, Ισραηλ· δεν δυνασαι να σταθης εμπροσθεν των εχθρων σου, εωσου αφαιρεσητε το αναθεμα εκ μεσου σας·
