And seeing them distressed in rowing, for the wind was contrary unto them, about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking on the sea; and he would have passed by them:

Και ειδεν αυτους βασανιζομενους εις το να κωπηλατωσι· διοτι ητο ο ανεμος εναντιος εις αυτους· και περι την τεταρτην φυλακην της νυκτος ερχεται προς αυτους περιπατων επι της θαλασσης, και ηθελε να περαση αυτους.

And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.
