But whether we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; or whether we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which worketh in the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer:

Και ειτε θλιβομεθα, θλιβομεθα υπερ της παρηγοριας σας και σωτηριας της ενεργουμενης δια της υπομονης των αυτων παθηματων, τα οποια και ημεις πασχομεν· ειτε παρηγορουμεθα, παρηγορουμεθα υπερ της παρηγοριας σας και σωτηριας· και η ελπις, την οποιαν εχομεν, ειναι βεβαια υπερ υμων·
