And Sihon would not suffer Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness, and came to Jahaz; and he fought against Israel.

And Sihon would not let Israel go through his land; but got all his people together and went out against Israel into the waste land, as far as Jahaz, to make war on Israel.

Και ο Σηων δεν αφηκε τον Ισραηλ να περαση δια των οριων αυτου· αλλ' ο Σηων συνηγαγε παντα τον λαον αυτου και εξηλθε να παραταχθη εναντιον του Ισραηλ εις την ερημον· και ηλθεν εις Ιασσα και επολεμησεν εναντιον του Ισραηλ.
