and thou shalt do to Ai and her king as thou didst unto Jericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye take for a prey unto yourselves: set thee an ambush for the city behind it.

And you are to do to Ai and its king as you did to Jericho and its king: but their goods and their cattle you may take for yourselves: let a secret force be stationed to make a surprise attack on the town from the back.

και θελεις καμει εις την Γαι και εις τον βασιλεα αυτης, καθως εκαμες εις την Ιεριχω και εις τον βασιλεα αυτης· μονον τα λαφυρα αυτης και τα κτηνη αυτης θελετε λαφυραγωγησει εις εαυτους· στησον ενεδραν κατα της πολεως οπισθεν αυτης.
