and he took it, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof; and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to the king thereof; as he had done also to Libnah, and to the king thereof.

And he took it, with its king and all its towns: and he put them to the sword, giving every person in it to the curse; all were put to death: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir and its king.

και εκυριευσεν αυτην και τον βασιλεα αυτης και πασας τας πολεις αυτης· και επαταξαν αυτους εν στοματι μαχαιρας και εξωλοθρευσαν πασας τας ψυχας τας εν αυτη, δεν αφηκεν υπολοιπον· καθως εκαμεν εις την Χεβρων, ουτως εκαμεν εις την Δεβειρ και εις τον βασιλεα αυτης· και καθως εκαμεν εις την Λιβνα και εις τον βασιλεα αυτης.
