But I have heard of thee, that thou canst give interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with purple, and have a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom.

And I have had news of you, that you have the power of making things clear, and of answering hard questions: now if you are able to make out the writing and give me the sense of it, you will be clothed in purple and have a gold chain round your neck and be a ruler of high authority in the kingdom.

Και εγω ηκουσα περι σου, οτι δυνασαι να ερμηνευης και να λυης αποριας· τωρα λοιπον, εαν δυνηθης να αναγνωσης την γραφην και να φανερωσης προς εμε την ερμηνειαν αυτης θελεις ενδυθη πορφυραν και η αλυσος η χρυση θελει τεθη περι τον τραχηλον σου και θελεις εισθαι ο τριτος αρχων του βασιλειου.
