Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ish-bosheth, and said, Am I a dog’s head that belongeth to Judah? This day do I show kindness unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David; and yet thou chargest me this day with a fault concerning this woman.

And Abner was very angry at the words of Ish-bosheth, and he said, Am I a dog's head of Judah? I am this day doing all in my power for the cause of your father Saul and for his brothers and his friends, and have not given you up into the hands of David, and now you say I have done wrong with a woman.

Και εθυμωθη σφοδρα ο Αβενηρ δια τους λογους του Ις-βοσθε και ειπε, Κεφαλη κυνος ειμαι εγω, οστις καμνω σημερον ελεος προς τον οικον Σαουλ του πατρος σου, προς τους αδελφους αυτου και προς τους φιλους αυτου, εναντιον του Ιουδα, και δεν σε παρεδωκα εις την χειρα του Δαβιδ, ωστε να ελεγχης σημερον αδικιαν εις εμε περι της γυναικος ταυτης;

Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ish–bosheth, and said, Am I a dog’s head, which against Judah do shew kindness this day unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to day with a fault concerning this woman?
