Then Achish called David, and said unto him, As Jehovah liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight; for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favor thee not.

Then Achish sent for David and said to him, By the living Lord, you are upright, and everything you have done with me in the army has been pleasing to me: I have seen no evil in you from the day when you came to me till now: but still, the lords are not pleased with you.

Τοτε εκαλεσεν ο Αγχους τον Δαβιδ και ειπε προς αυτον, Ζη Κυριος, βεβαιως εσταθης ευθυς, και η εξοδος σου και η εισοδος σου μετ' εμου εν τω στρατοπεδω ειναι αρεστη εμπροσθεν των οφθαλμων μου· διοτι κακον δεν ευρηκα εν σοι, αφ' ης ημερας ηλθες προς εμε εως της ημερας ταυτης· αλλ' ομως εις τους οφθαλμους των σατραπων δεν εισαι αρεστος·
