And he carved thereon cherubim and palm-trees and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold fitted upon the graven work.

These were ornamented with designs of winged ones and palm-trees and open flowers, plated over with gold.

Και ενεγλυψεν επ' αυτας χερουβειμ και φοινικας και ανοικτα ανθη· και εσκεπασεν αυτα με χρυσιον εφηρμοσμενον επι την αναγλυφον εργασιαν.
