And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge thereof was upon them; and to them pertained the opening thereof morning by morning.

Their sleeping-rooms were round the house of God, for they had the care of it, and were responsible for opening it morning by morning.

Και διενυκτερευον περιξ του οικου του Θεου, διοτι η φυλακη ητο επ' αυτους, και αυτοι επρεπε να ανοιγωσιν αυτον καθ' εκαστην πρωιαν.

And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning pertained to them.
