And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.

And Jabez was honoured more than his brothers; but his mother had given him the name Jabez, saying, Because I gave birth to him with sorrow.

Και ο Ιαβης ητο ενδοξοτερος παρα τους αδελφους αυτου· και η μητηρ αυτου εκαλεσε το ονομα αυτου Ιαβης, λεγουσα, Επειδη εγεννησα αυτον εν λυπη.
