And by the fountain gate, and straight before them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the ascent of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.

And by the doorway of the fountain and straight in front of them, they went up by the steps of the town of David, at the slope up of the wall, over the house of David, as far as the water-doorway to the east.

Και επι την πυλην της πηγης και απεναντι αυτων, ανεβησαν δια των βαθμιδων της πολεως Δαβιδ εις την αναβασιν του τειχους, επανωθεν του οικου του Δαβιδ, και εως της πυλης των υδατων προς ανατολας.

And at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.
