and he shall put the incense upon the fire before Jehovah, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy-seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not:

And let him put the perfume on the fire before the Lord so that the ark may be covered with a cloud of the smoke of the perfume, in order that death may not overtake him.

Και θελει βαλει το θυμιαμα επι το πυρ ενωπιον του Κυριου, και θελει καλυψει ο καπνος του θυμιαματος το ιλαστηριον το επι του μαρτυριου, δια να μη αποθανη.
