And the man, the lord of the land, said unto us, Hereby shall I know that ye are true men: leave one of your brethren with me, and take grain for the famine of your houses, and go your way;

And the ruler of the land said, In this way I may be certain that you are true men; let one of you be kept here with me, while you go and take grain for the needs of your families;

Ειπε δε προς ημας ο ανθρωπος, ο κυριος του τοπου, Με τουτο θελω γνωρισει οτι εισθε καλοι ανθρωποι· ενα εκ των αδελφων σας αφησατε μετ' εμου, και λαβοντες σιτον δια την πειναν των οικιων σας απελθετε·
