For when I had brought them into the land, which I sware to give unto them, then they saw every high hill, and every thick tree, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering; there also they made their sweet savor, and they poured out there their drink-offerings.

For when I had taken them into the land which I made an oath to give to them, then they saw every high hill and every branching tree and made their offerings there, moving me to wrath by their offerings; and there the sweet smell of their offerings went up and their drink offerings were drained out.

Διοτι αφου εφερα αυτους εις την γην, περι της οποιας υψωσα την χειρα μου οτι θελω δωσει αυτην εις αυτους, τοτε ενεβλεψαν εις παντα λοφον υψηλον και εις παν δενδρον κατασκιον, και εκει προσεφεραν τας θυσιας αυτων και εστησαν εκει τας παροργιστικας προσφορας αυτων, και εθεσαν εκει οσμην ευωδιας αυτων και εκαμον εκει τας σπονδας αυτων.
