Παντες οι ποταμοι υπαγουσιν εις την θαλασσαν, και η θαλασσα ποτε δεν γεμιζει· εις τον τοπον οθεν ρεουσιν οι ποταμοι, εκει παλιν επιστρεφουσι, δια να υπαγωσι.
