and ye said, Behold, Jehovah our God hath showed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth speak with man, and he liveth.

And said, The Lord has let us see his glory and his power, and his voice has come to us out of the fire: today we have seen that a man may go on living even after hearing the voice of God.

και ελεγετε, Ιδου, Κυριος ο Θεος ημων εδειξεν εις ημας την δοξαν αυτου και την μεγαλωσυνην αυτου, και ηκουσαμεν την φωνην αυτου εκ μεσου του πυρος· την ημεραν ταυτην ειδομεν οτι ο Θεος λαλει μετα του ανθρωπου και ο ανθρωπος ζη·
