And Jehoiakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh; but he taxed the land to give the money according to the commandment of Pharaoh: he exacted the silver and the gold of the people of the land, of every one according to his taxation, to give it unto Pharaoh-necoh.

And Jehoiakim gave the silver and gold to Pharaoh, taxing the land by his orders to get the money; the people of the land had to give silver and gold, everyone as he was taxed, to make the payment to Pharaoh-necoh.

Ο δε Ιωακειμ εδωκεν εις τον Φαραω το αργυριον και το χρυσιον· εφορολογησεν ομως την γην, δια να δωση το αργυριον κατα την προσταγην του Φαραω· ο λαος της γης συνεισεφερε το αργυριον και το χρυσιον, εκαστος κατα την εκτιμησιν αυτου, δια να δωση εις τον Φαραω-νεχαω.
