And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her; for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of Jehovah hath come.

Then Solomon made Pharaoh's daughter come up from the town of David to the house which he had made for her; for he said, I will not have my wife living in the house of David, king of Israel, because those places where the ark of the Lord has come are holy.

Και ανεβιβασεν ο Σολομων την θυγατερα του Φαραω εκ της πολεως Δαβιδ, εις τον οικον τον οποιον ωκοδομησε δι' αυτην· διοτι ειπεν, Η γυνη μου δεν θελει κατοικει εν τω οικω Δαβιδ του βασιλεως του Ισραηλ, επειδη το μερος, οπου η κιβωτος του Κυριου εισηλθεν, ειναι αγιον.
