And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and hast not relied on Jehovah thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thy hand.

At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa, king of Judah, and said to him, Because you have put your faith in the king of Aram and not in the Lord your God, the army of the king of Aram has got away out of your hands.

Κατ' εκεινον δε τον καιρον Ανανι ο βλεπων ηλθε προς Ασα τον βασιλεα του Ιουδα και ειπε προς αυτον, Επειδη επεστηριχθης επι τον βασιλεα της Συριας και δεν επεστηριχθης επι Κυριον τον Θεον σου, δια τουτο εξεφυγε το στρατευμα του βασιλεως της Συριας απο της χειρος σου·
