And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?

And David said to the men near him, What will be done to the man who overcomes this Philistine and takes away the shame from Israel? for who is this Philistine, a man without circumcision, that he has put shame on the armies of the living God?

Και ειπεν ο Δαβιδ προς τους ανδρας τους ισταμενους πλησιον αυτου, λεγων, Τι θελει γεινει εις τον ανδρα, οστις παταξη τον Φιλισταιον τουτον και αφαιρεση το ονειδος απο του Ισραηλ; διοτι τις ειναι ο Φιλισταιος ουτος ο απεριτμητος, ωστε να εξουθενη τα στρατευματα του Θεου του ζωντος;
