Now therefore, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me as thou hast walked before me.

So now, O Lord, the God of Israel, let your word to your servant David, my father, come true, when you said, You will never be without a man to take his place on the seat of the kingdom of Israel before me, if only your children give attention to their ways, walking before me as you have done.

Και τωρα, Κυριε Θεε του Ισραηλ, φυλαξον προς τον δουλον σου Δαβιδ τον πατερα μου εκεινο το οποιον υπεσχεθης προς αυτον, λεγων, Δεν θελει εκλειψει εις σε ανηρ απ' εμπροσθεν μου καθημενος επι του θρονου του Ισραηλ, μονον εαν προσεχωσιν οι υιοι σου εις την οδον αυτων, δια να περιπατωσιν ενωπιον μου, καθως συ περιεπατησας ενωπιον μου.
