and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which Jehovah commanded.

And had given him orders about this very thing, that he was not to go after other gods; but he did not keep the orders of the Lord.

και προσεταξεν εις αυτον περι του πραγματος τουτου, να μη υπαγη κατοπιν αλλων θεων· δεν εφυλαξεν ομως εκεινο, το οποιον ο Κυριος προσεταξε.
