So then if, while the husband liveth, she be joined to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if the husband die, she is free from the law, so that she is no adulteress, though she be joined to another man.

So if, while the husband is living, she is joined to another man, she will get the name of one who is untrue to her husband: but if the husband is dead, she is free from the law, so that she is not untrue, even if she takes another man.

Αρα λοιπον εαν ζωντος του ανδρος συζευχθη με αλλον ανδρα, θελει εισθαι μοιχαλις· εαν ομως αποθανη ο ανηρ, ειναι ελευθερα απο του νομου, ωστε να μη ηναι μοιχαλις εαν συζευχθη με αλλον ανδρα.

So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
