He saith unto them, My cup indeed ye shall drink: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left hand, is not mine to give; but it is for them for whom it hath been prepared of my Father.

They say to him, We are able. He says to them, Truly, you will take of my cup: but to be seated at my right hand and at my left is not for me to give, but it is for those for whom my Father has made it ready.

Και λεγει προς αυτους· το μεν ποτηριον μου θελετε πιει; και το βαπτισμα το οποιον εγω βαπτιζομαι θελετε βαπτισθη· το να καθησητε ομως εκ δεξιων μου και εξ αριστερων μου δεν ειναι εμου να δωσω, ειμη εις οσους ειναι ητοιμασμενον υπο του Πατρος μου.

And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

He said to them, “You will indeed drink my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with, but to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it is for whom it has been prepared by my Father.”
