And Abimelech gat him up to mount Zalmon, he and all the people that were with him; and Abimelech took an axe in his hand, and cut down a bough from the trees, and took it up, and laid it on his shoulder: and he said unto the people that were with him, What ye have seen me do, make haste, and do as I have done.

Then Abimelech went up to Mount Zalmon, with all his people; and Abimelech took an axe in his hand and, cutting down branches of trees, took them and put them on his back. And he said to the people who were with him, Be quick and do as you have seen me do.

Και ανεβη ο Αβιμελεχ εις το ορος Σαλμων, αυτος και πας ο λαος ο μετ' αυτου· και ελαβεν ο Αβιμελεχ την αξινην εις την χειρα αυτου και εκοψε κλαδον δενδρου, και εσηκωσεν αυτον και επεθεσεν επι των ωμων αυτου· και ειπε προς τον λαον τον μετ' αυτου, Ο, τι βλεπετε εμε πραττοντα, σπευσατε και σεις να πραξητε ως εγω.
