and Jehovah delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel; and he took it on the second day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein, according to all that he had done to Libnah.

And the Lord gave Lachish into the hands of Israel, and on the second day he took it, putting it and every person in it to the sword without mercy, as he had done to Libnah.

Και παρεδωκεν ο Κυριος την Λαχεις εις την χειρα του Ισραηλ, και εκυριευσεν αυτην την δευτεραν ημεραν, και επαταξεν εν στοματι μαχαιρας αυτην και πασας τας ψυχας τας εν αυτη, κατα παντα οσα εκαμεν εις την Λιβνα.
