Then came all the princes unto Jeremiah, and asked him; and he told them according to all these words that the king had commanded. So they left off speaking with him; for the matter was not perceived.

Then all the rulers came to Jeremiah, questioning him: and he gave them an answer in the words the king had given him orders to say. So they said nothing more to him; for the thing was not made public.

Ηλθον δε παντες οι αρχοντες προς τον Ιερεμιαν και ηρωτησαν αυτον· και ανηγγειλε προς αυτους κατα παντας τους λογους εκεινους, τους οποιους προσεταξεν ο βασιλευς. Και αυτοι επαυσαν να ομιλωσι μετ' αυτου, διοτι δεν ηκουσθη το πραγμα.
