For thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream: and ye shall suck thereof; ye shall be borne upon the side, and shall be dandled upon the knees.

For the Lord says, See, I will make her peace like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream, and she will take her children in her arms, gently caring for them on her knees.

διοτι ουτω λεγει Κυριος· Ιδου, εις αυτην θελω στρεψει την ειρηνην ως ποταμον, και την δοξαν των εθνων ως χειμαρρον πλημμυρουντα· τοτε θελετε θηλασει, θελετε βασταχθη επι των πλευρων και κολακευθη επι των γονατων αυτης.
