As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, surely forasmuch as my sheep became a prey, and my sheep became food to all the beasts of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my sheep, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my sheep;

By my life, says the Lord, truly, because my sheep have been taken away, and my sheep became food for all the beasts of the field, because there was no keeper, and my keepers did not go in search of the sheep, but the keepers took food for themselves and gave my sheep no food;

Ζω εγω, λεγει Κυριος ο Θεος, εξαπαντος, επειδη τα προβατα μου εγειναν λαφυρον και τα προβατα μου εγειναν καταβρωμα παντων των θηριων του αγρου δι' ελλειψιν ποιμενος, και δεν εζητησαν οι ποιμενες μου τα προβατα μου αλλ' οι ποιμενες εβοσκησαν εαυτους και δεν εβοσκησαν τα προβατα μου,
