Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left behind shall fall by the sword.

Say to the people of Israel, The Lord has said, See, I will make my holy place unclean, the pride of your strength, the pleasure of your eyes, and the desire of your soul; and your sons and daughters, who did not come with you here, will be put to the sword.

Ειπε προς τον οικον Ισραηλ, Ουτω λεγει Κυριος ο Θεος· Ιδου, θελω βεβηλωσει τα αγια μου, το καυχημα της δυναμεως σας, τα επιθυμηματα των οφθαλμων σας και τα περιποθητα των ψυχων σας· και οι υιοι σας και αι θυγατερες σας, οσους αφηκατε, εν ρομφαια θελουσι πεσει.
