And he cried unto Jehovah; and Jehovah showed him a tree, and he cast it into the waters, and the waters were made sweet. There he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them;

And in answer to his prayer, the Lord made him see a tree, and when he put it into the water, the water was made sweet. There he gave them a law and an order, testing them;

Ο δε Μωυσης εβοησε προς τον Κυριον· και εδειξεν εις αυτον ο Κυριος ξυλον, το οποιον οτε ερριψεν εις τα υδατα, τα υδατα εγλυκανθησαν. Εκει εδωκεν εις αυτους παραγγελιαν και διαταγμα, και εκει εδοκιμασεν αυτους·
