then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel’s virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate;

Then let the girl's father and mother put before the responsible men of the town, in the public place, signs that the girl was a virgin:

τοτε ο πατηρ της νεας και η μητηρ αυτης θελουσι λαβει και εκφερει προς τους πρεσβυτερους της πολεως, εις την πυλην, τα παρθενια της νεας·
