Οτε εφθασαν πλησιον της μεγαλης πετρας, της εν Γαβαων, ο Αμασα ηλθεν εις συναντησιν αυτων. Ο δε Ιωαβ ειχε περιεζωσμενον το ιματιον, το οποιον ητο ενδεδυμενος, και επ' αυτο περιεζωσμενην την μαχαιραν, κρεμαμενην εις την οσφυν αυτου εν τη θηκη αυτης· και καθως εξηλθεν αυτος, επεσε.
