And Jehovah sent an angel, who cut off all the mighty men of valor, and the leaders and captains, in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth from his own bowels slew him there with the sword.

And the Lord sent an angel who put to death all the men of war and the chiefs and the captains in the army of the king of Assyria. So he went back to his country in shame. And when he came into the house of his god, his sons, the offspring of his body, put him to death there with the sword.

Και απεστειλε Κυριος αγγελον, οστις ηφανισε παντας τους δυνατους εν ισχυι και τους αρχοντας και τους στρατηγους εν τω στρατοπεδω του βασιλεως της Ασσυριας. Και επεστρεψε με κατησχυμμενον προσωπον εις την γην αυτου. Και οτε εισηλθεν εις τον οικον του θεου αυτου, οι εξελθοντες εκ των σπλαγχνων αυτου εθανατωσαν αυτον εκει εν μαχαιρα.
