Wherefore Jehovah his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they smote him, and carried away of his a great multitude of captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter.

So the Lord his God gave him up into the hands of the king of Aram; and they overcame him, and took away a great number of his people as prisoners to Damascus. Then he was given into the hands of the king of Israel, who sent great destruction on him.

Δια τουτο παρεδωκεν αυτον Κυριος ο Θεος αυτου εις την χειρα του βασιλεως της Συριας· και επαταξαν αυτον, και ελαβον αιχμαλωτους μεγα πληθος εξ αυτων και εφεραν αυτους εις Δαμασκον. Και παρεδοθη ετι εις την χειρα του βασιλεως του Ισραηλ, οστις επαταξεν αυτον εν σφαγη μεγαλη.
