For ye, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judæa in Christ Jesus: for ye also suffered the same things of your own countrymen, even as they did of the Jews;

For you, my brothers, took as your examples the churches of God which are in Judaea in Christ Jesus; because you underwent the same things from your countrymen as they did from the Jews;

Διοτι σεις εγεινετε, αδελφοι, μιμηται των εκκλησιων του Θεου, αιτινες ειναι εν τη Ιουδαια εν Χριστω Ιησου, επειδη και σεις επαθετε τα αυτα υπο των ιδιων υμων ομοεθνων, καθως και αυτοι υπο των Ιουδαιων,
